Prophecy

(Jesus:) Battles are usually hard, and sometimes it looks like you're losing. Sometimes even when you're doing all you can‚ you feel like you've lost. But if you're doing your part and it doesn't seem that things are going very well, that just means that it's not over yet—that there's still a victory coming.
I use battles—especially ones that are long or difficult—to humble you, to make you more dependent on Me, and sometimes you do feel pretty defeated. But if you are using the spiritual weapons at your disposal, if you're listening to My instructions and doing what I tell you to do‚ then you're always destined to win in the end, even if it takes a lot of faith to believe that when you're going through it. You don't feel like a victor most of the time. You don't feel like spiritual superheroes or awesome spiritual warriors‚ but in reality you are, because I am, and I am in you. I want you to learn to depend more on the intimate connection you have with Me. I don't just mean your connection with Me through prophecy; I mean your connection with Me through My possession of your heart and spirit and life. When you asked Me into your heart, you gave Me leave to possess you and to inhabit every corner of your heart and spirit. I do. We're inseparable. I'm inextricably linked to you, and you're inextricably linked to Me. The connection we share is something the Enemy can't even begin to understand, much less assault. So often you might feel that he does, but the spiritual plane where our spirits and hearts are merged as one is a plane that he can't even begin to comprehend‚ much less access.
When you feel that he's attacking your link with Me, telling you that you're worthless or that I don't love you‚ that you've messed up too much, when you feel that your mind and senses are being relentlessly bombarded with his thoughts and lies and fears and pictures, when you feel that you're barely hanging on, or that the life of someone you love or are shepherding is at stake and you don't know what to do‚ you must go deeper into Me.
You must realize that the Enemy is only bluffing, that his attacks are barely scratching the surface of our unbreakable bonds with each other. Your feelings and senses tell you otherwise, that it's the end, that you can't hang on another minute, that you're not strong enough. But this is not true—because the truth is that we are eternally connected in a realm that the Enemy has no access to. He cannot touch the real you, because the real you, your spirit, is somewhere he can't reach‚ somewhere he can't go to and doesn't even understand or know exists.
To overcome these very intense and draining battles‚ you must go deeper and deeper into Me, letting Me hold you and fight for you and with you, until your spirit is cleansed and can recollect that deeper awareness of the unbreakable bonds we share.
This is why I allow the attacks to be so fierce at times. These things are needed in order to cleanse your spirit, to drive you ever closer to Me, to take away all the props of the world, to remind you that there's nothing and no one you can count on but Me. Because deep down at the core of your spirit is that knowledge of the spiritual plane where our union exists in such a pure and exquisite way that you have absolutely no doubts or questions as to My power and strength in you, and the fact that there's absolutely nothing the Enemy can do to touch you or exact upon you, no matter what he tries. It's easy to forget this in the hustle and bustle and clamor of life and the spiritual battles you face, so I sometimes have to allow things to come up in your or others' lives to strip away all the gloss and props and take you back to the basics of this fundamental truth—that we share a love so powerful and timeless, there's nothing it can't overcome.
No matter what happens‚ no matter what the Enemy sends your way, no matter how fiercely the spiritual warfare rages, we will always be victorious. The truth of My promise that the keys will win every battle you call them to fight is unbreakable. This is the reality of the spirit world. No matter how real the Enemy's attacks and tactics seem to you, no matter how much they seem to hurt your heart and quench your hope, the truth is that the spiritual weapons I've given you are far more powerful and will inflict much, much greater damage and pain on the Enemy than anything he can bring against you.
I ask you to believe in things unseen. You can't really see the spiritual weapons in action. You don't see yourself clad in battle gear and engaging the Enemy in combat. You only feel the results of these things. So you have to take it by faith, but this is what makes your weapons all the more powerful. Faith is the power of the spirit world, and when you take things by faith, you put that power into action. The Enemy has no defenses against that.
When you launch your spiritual weapons by faith, there's nothing he can do except flee the battleground. He can try to prevent you from exercising your faith by barraging you with doubts‚ lies‚ fears, and worries, but once your faith missiles are in motion, he's completely helpless. So of course he'll do everything he can to keep you from believing that you can win, that you will overcome, that you are a winner!
